Customer Solutions Engineer

GenCell is seeking a Field Application Engineer for our Customer Support department to support pre-sales, project scoping and rollout of our systems. In this role, you will act as the customers’ key technical contact, conducting feasibility evaluations alongside the sales team and acting as a conduit between our internal engineering teams and GenCell customers’ engineering teams. The position is full-time, based in the US and reports to our VP Customer Support.

Responsibiities:
  • Understand clients’ technical needs and support sales team by producing project descriptions and technical Q&As
  • Perform site surveys and measurements for potential customers – identify and map actual technical requirements to help formulate product and project specifications
  • Manage projects and rollout activities
  • Manage site readiness activities for system rollouts and installations
  • Lead technical trainings to customer representatives
  • Act as Tier One support for customer complaints, coordinate Tier Two activities within the company
Requirements:
  • Education: Electrical Engineering discipline
  • 5-7 years experience as field application engineer for large electrical systems
  • Experience working with Power Utilities, UPS devices, Generators, Power Electronics
  • Ability to read facility electrical schematics
  • Willingess to travel extensively and on demand
  • Experience in start-up working environment
  • Spanish – an advantage
