Sales Manager Telecom – Americas

Location: North America, California
Responsibilities:
  • Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
  • Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience in selling to telecom/cables operators.
  • Sales and delivery – penetrating¬† new markets and expanding existing market.
  • Delivering a robust tactical plan to achieve the given strategic and targeted business plan in line with company growth targets and objectives.
  • Recruit and enable representatives and distributors.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience – minimum 3-5 years – in selling directly/indirectly to telecom and cable operators and valid network providers
  • Familiarity with local telecom and network regulations and requirements.
  • Self-motivated individual with a hunter mentality that takes ownership of all sales and presales activities.
  • Full-time position, requiring willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including people management, leadership and awareness for cross-cultural communications.
  • Academic degree or equivalent, preferably with technical qualifications and/or experience in electrical engineering, coupled with financial qualifications or training. Solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning is essential as this role involves working with annual budgets as well as producing financial reports on customer deal structures.
  • Proven, established sales record within a B2B sales organization having a technically focused product range and having a supporting background and industry knowledge of solution application sales activities.
  • Ability to recruit & support appointed distributors, train their sales teams, including monitoring performance and assisting in resolving customer needs together with the dedicated Gencell Application Engineer.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with SalesForce
