Claro Brasil instala la tecnología de celdas de combustible GenCell G5 para solventar cortes de energía
TyN from Futurecom - GenCell, developer and manufacturer of fuel cells based in Israel, announced that Claro has successfully tested and validated the GenCell G5 fuel cell generator to eradicate power outages.
Installed 11 months ago at the Claro research and development center in Rio de Janeiro, the operator has used GenCell G5 to improve its existing backup solution, and replace its diesel batteries and generators. GenCell G5 is designed to take over the power grid and provide clean and reliable power to the base transceiver system (BTS) during a power outage, and is ready for a rapid transition once the power grid is back in operation.
The GenCell G5 greatly reduces the interruptions and costs associated with power outages for customers and businesses, while significantly improving the sustainability of telecommunications providers. For the first time in the history of fuel cells, GenCell G5 achieves this at the same price as a fully installed GMG solution that meets ISO14001 (diesel generator) standards.
One of the unique functions of the solution is the ability to withstand extreme temperatures and humidity. GenCell produces 5kW of fully certified stable energy.
