GenCell G5™ Solution Long-Duration UPS
The GenCell G5 long-duration UPS (uninterruptible power supply) provides a potentially unlimited source of 5kW backup power - along with support for peak loads of up to 100kVA - for a wide range of markets, from commercial and industrial applications to first responders and defense, telecom and other segments. Designed to be extremely reliable, the GenCell solution has minimal moving parts, redundant internal systems and is highly resilient to extreme environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, salinity).
The GenCell G5 overcomes the significant weaknesses of the most common backup power solutions: the limited duration of batteries, the smell, noise and lengthy startup time of diesel generators and the weather/daylight limitations of solar energy systems. Fueled by hydrogen, the clean energy of the future, the GenCell G5 long-duration UPS produces no emissions, noise or vibrations, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
Absorbs peak loads
The GenCell G5 Solution absorbs dynamic peak loads of up to 100kVA. The ultra-reliable long-duration backup power solution kicks in immediately, absorbs peak loads and provides uninterrupted power for critical assets for outages of any duration until grid power is restored - ensuring maximum business continuity.
Multiple unit G5 solutions have the added benefit of employing a redundant microgrid configuration which further increases their power reliability and flexibility.
The G5 backup power fuel cell solution employs our advanced IoT remote monitoring software, which offers businesses capabilities to control and maintain the fuel cell remotely. The easy-to-use software provides users complete visibility into system health at all times and alerts users to take prompt action in case of any issues. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance and provides the assurance that when it’s needed, the G5 backup power supply will kick-in to maintain full functionality. In contrast to diesel generators, parts and fuel replacement for the G5 are also far less frequent, significantly reducing maintenance costs for businesses.
