GenCell at EV Charging Infrastructure West

Guest Blog Post from our US Western Regional Sales Manager who will be speaking at EV Charging Infrastructure West

Hi, I’m John Felts, GenCell’s US Western Region Sales Manager and I’m  really excited about the opportunity to participate on the panel “Partnering with Utilities” at the upcoming EV Charging Infrastructure West conference being held on February 7th and 8th at the Grand Hyatt SFO  (San Francisco International Airport) in San Francisco.

The third annual edition of this event, the conference focuses on developing a resilient, equitable and customer-friendly charging infrastructure in the Western region of the U.S. I am looking forward to meeting the different policymakers, regulators, utilities, municipalities, transportation departments, charging infrastructure developers, EVSEs, OEMs and other interested parties looking to accelerate the development of the electric charging infrastructure in our region.

I’m really looking forward to participating in the panel “Partnering with Utilities” alongside representatives from SMUD, LADWP and SDG&E to discuss the challenges of supplying sufficient power for EV charging wherever required while at the same time fortifying the grid against climate disruptions and transitioning to zero-emission power resources to meet ambitious sustainability targets. I’m sure it will be an invigorating discussion!

I see more and more opportunities in Northern California and in fact throughout the West to improve air quality and reinforce the grid against climate disruption by incorporating on-site hydrogen DER power generation as an “insurance policy” in hybrid microgrids.
