GenCell Appoints Boaz Azar as VP Product Development

Petah Tikva, Israel – May 31, 2023 – GenCell Energy, (TASE: GNCL), the leading provider of hydrogen and ammonia to power solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Boaz Azar as GenCell’s Vice-President of Product Development. Azar will lead a new organizational unit within the company in which he will be overseeing product-related activities including product strategy, engineering, electronics, software and certification.

Azar brings over 20 years of extensive experience in product development and management, during which he has led multidisciplinary teams in large organizations and complex environments. Azar has held several senior management positions over the past decade at Stratasys, most recently serving as Vice-President of Research and Development (R&D) of the Design & HC department, a role in which he was responsible for the development and release of new products for serial production.  Prior to that role, Boaz worked at Israel-based Object, which later merged with Stratasys.

Boaz holds a B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering from the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) and has also earned project management certification from the Technion.

Azar’s recruitment follows the recent appointment of Hadar Himmelman as Vice-President of Sales, a step that signified the Company upgrading its global sales structure.
